Read storyOne crushed chainsaw sparked SawHaul—and eventually GearHaul. Rural Connect shares our Kansas story in its Fall 2026 issue.

A chainsaw fell out of a tractor bucket. The tractor ran over it. That expensive mistake gave Kenny Finley a reason to build a better way to carry his saw.
Rural Connect tells that story in The Chainsaw That Started It All, a feature on pages 41–42 of its Fall 2026 issue. Written by Brett Dalton, the article follows the idea behind SawHaul and the growth of GearHaul.
The original problem was simple: keeping a chainsaw secure and within reach while working. That led to SawHaul. As customers asked for ways to carry buckets, tools, and other equipment, the product line grew.
Today, GearHaul makes modular mounting systems that help people organize their gear around their equipment and the work they do. Explore SawHaul chainsaw carriers or build a Rail Rider setup for your own equipment.
Our roots and manufacturing relationships in Kansas remain an important part of the business. We appreciate the local manufacturers, suppliers, customers, and community partners who have helped turn one practical idea into a growing product line.
Thank you to Jody Love and Rural Community Partners for sharing our story, and to Brett Dalton for the write-up.
